What is Included in my Service:

Initial Consultation – An initial consultation will allow us to discuss your vision, requirements and lifestyle. Determining the purpose of the renovation and desired outcomes.

Budget and Timeline – A priority will be to establish a clear budget and timeline for the project.

Scope of Work – In order for me to start creating a design concept you will need to define the areas that will be designed and the level of involvement (e.g., furniture selection, structural and layout changes etc).

Site Assessment – Once the scope of work is defined I will take initial measurements and assess the natural light within all the rooms.

Concept Development – A detailed design brief will be created summarising your requirements, delivering visuals to assist with your style choices. Ideally this phase of the design process will have commenced at least 12 weeks before the contractor is ready to start the build.

Inspiration Gathering – As part of the concept development I will create mood boards and visual references to convey the desired look and feel of the overall design style.

Space Planning – We will start to focus on a floor plan in each room that optimises the flow and functionality of the space.

The Key Elements of the Design – Windows, kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, lighting and storage solutions. The style of the kitchen and bathrooms will determine the style throughout, the kitchen design will be a priority because this will have a strong influence on the flooring and bathrooms.

Furniture Placement – At this point we will determine the arrangement of furniture, considering traffic flow and ergonomics.

Zoning – Zoning is crucial, especially in open plan living areas, a floor plan will be finalised before the first fix electrics a plumping is addressed, setting specific zones for activities based on each room’s purpose.

Kitchen Design – This consists of Layout, Storage, Appliances, Ventilation, Door Style and Colour, Handles if required, Countertop, Interior Storage Solutions, Backsplash, Lighting, Plumbing and Electrics.

Bathroom Design – This consists of Layout, Sanitary Ware, Shower Tray, Shower Door, Bath, Vanity Unit, Storage to include Bespoke Cabinetry if required, Mirror, Wallcoverings, Tiling, Flooring, Ventilation, Lighting, Plumbing and Electrics

Lighting Design – A plan for ambient, task, and accent lighting will be considered to enhance functionality and atmosphere, and based on the “finishes” on all light fittings of your choice, light switches and plugs will be chosen. 

Material Selection – Once the kitchen design has been finalised we will commence our material selection, new flooring materials, such as wood, tile, or carpet, then a consideration to wall paint colours, apply wallpaper if required, or add other decorative finishes, custom cabinetry, built-ins, and trim (e.g., skirting boards, architraves etc) Install lighting fixtures and fittings, switches, doorknobs, and other hardware, all these decisions will be required at this stage of the renovation.

Furniture and Fixtures – Select furniture, lounge and dining room etc, window treatments, and accessories

Color Palette – Finalise the colours for walls, furniture, and accents to create a cohesive look.

Sourcing – Part of my service is to Identify suppliers and source materials, furniture, and decor.

Purchasing – Place orders for items within the approved budget.

Implementation and collaboration – I will work closely with contractors, electricians, and other tradespeople to ensure the design is executed as planned, this service does not include project management

Styling and the Final Touch to the Renovation – Add rugs, cushions, throws, and curtains to bring warmth and texture.
