New Exhibition Opens at Westport Townhall
An exhibition of work from Regina Rogers Fallon an artist and an Interior Designer from Dublin, is running at the new Westport Town Hall Theatre.
Regina Divides her time between Dublin and the west coast of Ireland, in the tranquil town of Louisburgh, “this is where I exhale and connect with nature”, said Rogers Fallon, “the rustic landscape of Louisburgh inspires me to paint and create”, I am delighted to be exhibiting in the newly refurbished Town Hall Theatre, Westport, “Westport is a town that is close to my heart”
Rogers Fallon has a very distinctive artistic style, creating contemporary abstract, figurative interpretations of the human form, with a distinctive palette of vibrant colour and a large canvas. “I relish working on canvas that is larger than me, it allows me freedom” I create life sized characters that generate a real sense of realism”, she said.
When not painting the artist can be found strolling along one of the beautiful local beaches, taking photographs , collecting stimulation for her art and constantly whipping up design ideas
COMFORT AND STYLE
Regina Rogers Fallon chose to design a living room for the Colortrend Interior Design Forum because it is such a prominent space in the home.
“My idea was to create a space people would feel comfortable sitting and entertaining in.”
“I wanted the furniture to define the space by being both functional and stylish. To do this I have chosen a custom build sofa from “the sofa company”. It was made with a hard wood beech frame and designed with an unusual curve. It is presented with a neutral biscuit chenille fabric that is complimented by splashes of colour. I feel that this piece integrates perfectly with my intrepid colour palette featuring Petrol and Squeeze from Colortrend Interior Collection.”
Regina Rogers Fallon is a accredited member of the Interiors association. In 2010 Regina established her business after obtaining a BA in Architecture and Design, her living room display at the Ideal Homes Show used stylish pieces that didn’t hold back on function. “My main aspiration was to pique visitors adventurous sides when they are selecting colours and also to exhibit unique furniture that honours Irish craftsmanship”, Regina says she featured “Petrol” and “Squeeze” from the ColourTrend Interiors Collection, Regina provides a full interior design service, providing skills in Architecture and 3D visualization drawings, Regina always aims to provide beautiful, functional and authentic spaces.
